Motorcyclist loses leg in crash

A personal injury solicitor at Slee Blackwell, has just been instructed by a motorcyclist who lost his right leg in a motorcycle accident in Vauxhall, London earlier last month. Paul Efayena lost control of his KTM when trying to avoid a car coming towards him on the wrong side of the dual carriageway in Nine Elms Lane. He hit a lamppost and his right leg was torn off above the knee.

The solicitor commented, “This was a horrendous injury, apparently caused by a driver performing a U-turn on a split carriageway to get to a missed turn-off. Paul has only just left hospital and will have to come to terms with this life-changing injury. He was due to start a specialised course in close-protection bodyguarding and was setting up his own bodyguarding business. This accident has thrown his life and plans into turmoil. I am gathering initial evidence from the police and witnesses about what happened, so that we can pursue Paul’s claim for compensation, which is likely to be substantial.
